H. Keven McShane, DVM

Caring Hands Animal Hospital is the realization of Dr. McShane. She is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A & M University. Her special interests include dermatology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Her almost 20 year experience in veterinary medicine in Austin enables Dr. McShane to provide excellent internal and diagnostic medicine, surgery and special needs treatment. She is active in the Texas veterinary community, serving on several Texas Veterinary Medical Association working groups, including its Legislative Committee and the TVMA-AVMA Liaison Commitee. Dr. McShane has been recently elected to the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee of Communication, serving veterinarians and the public nationionwide on matters regarding public health and protection of our foodchain. She has previously served as President of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, an association dedicated to excellence through ongoing continuing education. Dr. McShane is a resident of The Hills of Lakeway, Texas.

Carolyn Canizaro, DVM

Dr. Carolyn Canizaro is a 2003 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, with special interests in internal medicine, weight management, dog sports and agility and dental disease management. Dr. Canizaro is active in the Capitol Area Veterinary Medical Association. She and her dogs Sera and Danica are successful participants in the Texas Agility Dog Association and compete in statewide tournaments. Dr. Canizaro is a long-time Lakeway neighbor.

Jill Johnson, Practice Administrator

Jill Johnson is a credentialed hospital administrator, managing all administrative aspects of the hospital. She has proven experience in patient and client care, serving veterinary hospitals for over ten years. Jill acts as an always-available liaison and advocate for all hospital patients and clients alike. She is a Lakeway neighbor.
